This brilliant young lady added bacon to her Firehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket sub.

Eating a low carb. high protein diet can be challenging, but a little creativity can go a long way. Here is what was left from my delicious Chicken Parmesan “Sandwich”.
The trick was to get the large sandwich so there was enough food to fill me up without eating the bread. The delicious, fresh-baked, bread….
@FirehouseSubs has an amazing sandwich called the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket.
Unfortunately, this is not that sandwich.
This is the amazingly beautiful and seductive Firehouse Hero. A heroic combination of roast beef, smoked turkey, Virginia honey ham and melted provolone. For a small upcharge they even added bacon! Sounds amazing, right? I thought so. So did Bob and Mike as we all three got the same thing.
You’ve heard the rumors.
You’ve heard the legend.
I assure you, it is true.
The Arby’s Meat Mountain is real.
It has every meat Arby’s carries, along with 3 cheeses, all on a sesame seed bun. With some Arby Sauce and Horsey Sauce it is quite a tasty sandwich. Of course if it was on the onion bun of the Beef & Cheddar, along with the cheese sauce and red sauce, it could be divine!
I fully expected to be met with blank stares when I asked for a “Meat Mountain” as it is not on the menu. Instead she turned and called back “another Meat Mountain”, and the slicing began.
Were I to have it again I think I would remove the chicken tenders to eat separately and beg for some of the red sauce they use on the Beef & Cheddar.
For a limited time, enjoy a Turkey, Bacon, Swiss sub at Dibella’s. You won’t regret it. I got mine with mayo, pickles and banana peppers and it was delicious. This sandwich is packed with meat and bacon. Nothing like the crap you get at Subway, yet not much more in price!
Any self respecting sandwich lover who has never been to DiBella’s is missing out. Click HERE to find a location near you.
Be forewarned, their medium is enough to feed most mortals. The large is a freaking monster! If you don’t believe me, I suggest you check my post aptly called “DiBella’s Did Me In”.
Always striving to better her best creations, Kayla has created something beyond comparison. Beyond description. Something so awe inspiring it can only be called one thing.
4 meats, 3 cheeses, scrambled egg, hash browns and chipotle sauce all on whole grain grilled wheat bread. Arby’s “Meat Mountain” can not even compare to this deliciously created collection of calories. She grilled the ham with the Swiss cheese, and the Turkey with the Provolone. The American cheese melted to the scrambled eggs and bacon completing 3 levels of brilliant flavor combinations only to have the sausage, hash browns and chipotle sauce added in for that little something special.
I have had many Italian Subs from many places over the years. Most good, some very much so, but it wasn’t until I experienced the Sicilian that realized how good an Italian Sub could be.
Verde’s Imported Foods is a little Italian deli packed full of good stuff to eat. On my first visit Bob suggested that I try the Sicilian. Having lunched with Bob before I greatly respected his taste in lunch cuisine and did as he suggested. I have been there many times since, almost weekly in fact, and can not resist getting the Sicilian each and every time I go.
First off it is loaded with fresh meats making it easily twice as filling as any Subway footlong, not to mention the vast difference in quality of the ingredients. That is not what makes it so special though. It is the perfect combination of flavors that they have captured in this one perfectly made sub. Is it the fresh meats? The Sharp Provolone? the roasted red peppers or maybe the uniquely tangy dressing? Personally I think it is a combination of these things together. The quintessential Italian sub which always leaves me sated and content.
